Latest Maclaren Umbrella Strollers Recall

November 9, 2009 Maclaren informed of a recall of a number of Maclaren Umbrella Strollers, that will be a voluntary recall of all Maclaren Umbrella strollers that were sold since 1999 till present day. Below you will see a list of all the models affected by this recall.

The models affected by the recall only apply to those sold in the U.S. There is a fault in the hinge mechanism; this has caused a number of children to have their finger tips amputated.

Maclaren who are working alongside the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission are to issue a free hinge mechanism kit to solve the issue. Maclaren, the largest stroller company in the world has said that safety is there first priority, they have asked for owners of the affected strollers to contact then immediately.

Once owners contact Maclaren, they will then be sent these kits, which is just a cover to hide the mechanism. Contact Maclaren immediately.
